Five Step Traceability Process – Ladish Proprietary Database

The Proprietary Ladish Quality Control Database was established as a means to capture complete traceability. Traceability includes heat codes, inspections, assembly steps, hydro and gas testing, calibration, NDE testing and personnel. From receipt of raw material to valve shipment, every aspect of production and quality are captured.

Step 1: Raw Material

1. Chemical & Mechanical properties uploaded to database and cross checked verified to applicable ASTM standards
2. Inspection Router created to include incoming inspection

Step 2:  In-House Inspections

• In-House Visual Inspection
• In-House Ferrite Examination (Fisher Ferritiscope)
• In-House Dimensional Inspection
• In-House RT Inspection
• In-House PT Inspection
• In-House PMI Inspection
• In-house Inert Gas Testing (probe or underwater)

Step 3:  Production

• All inspection records loaded and stored in database
• Production documents created
• In-house 360-degree lapping
