The Gate Valve is the most commonly used valve in industry. Gate Valves are well suited for water, air, oil and gas service as well as a variety of other fluids. It is intended for on-off flow control and should only be used in the fully open or fully closed position. When fully opened, fluid through the valves is in a straight line, resulting in minimum pressure drop across the valve.
